From May onward as you complete your student planning, you will begin to design a schedule for the fall semester. The lists below will help you learn about recommended course schedules for all the majors and options you can pursue at American University as well as recommendations for courses if you are deciding on a major or thinking about a second major.
Not at all. These are only suggestions and guidelines. You can select additional or substitute classes based on your interests. We recommend you consult with your academic advisor, though.
If you already have credit toward any of the courses listed in the guidelines, you do not need to take that class at AU.
